Musically inclined

Young talent: Four student organists will perform at 7 p.m. today at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 32832 Saint Anthony Way, San Antonio. The performers are Margaret Mary Owens, a Florida State University organ performance major; Blaise Carson, an Ave Maria University music major; Clare Hernández, an 11th-grade organ student; and Ryan Jones, a ninth-grade organ student. This band's got talent: Denver and the Mile High Orchestra, runners-up on the television show America's Got Talent, will perform in concert at 7 p.m. Aug. 22 at First United Methodist Church of Hudson, 13123 U.S. 19. Dine with the choir: Hope Children's Home Choir of Tampa will sing and share testimony at 6 p.m. Aug. 30 at Bible Baptist Church, 6628 Cecelia Drive, New Port Richey. Since 1968, Hope Children's Home has cared for more than 5,000 abandoned, abused, neglected and orphaned children. The event will include a potluck dinner with the choir. Free. Fun with laser guns: The New Port Richey Parks and Recreation Department and its youth advisory board will host laser tag for children ages 6 to 15 from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. today at the Recreation and Aquatic Center, 6630 Van Buren St. The evening will feature giveaways and concessions will be available for purchase. A beachy benefit: A Beach Bash to benefit the Sertoma Speech and Hearing Foundation of Florida's Children's Hearing Help Fund will be from noon to 5 p.m. Aug. 23 at the SunWest Park, 16540 Old Dixie Highway, Hudson. The party will feature swimming and other fun for kids, plus raffles, door prizes, food vendors, water sports, music and gift baskets. Admission is $20 per car.
