There's a new lunch option in downtown St. Petersburg today with the debut of the Lunch Truck It food truck rally in Williams Park.
The food truck event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the park located at 330 2nd Ave. N and will feature an appearance by mayor Rick Kriseman, the Gulf to Bay Food Truck Association said.
The association plans to host the event with different food trucks at Williams Park on the third Wednesday of every month.
This month's event will feature the Maggie on the Move, Surf and Turf Truck, Pho Truck, Smokin Bowls and the Pineapple Shack as vendors.
Across the bay, the city of Tampa has hosted its own recurring lunchtime food truck event in downtown since 2011. The Mayor's Food Truck Fiesta at Lykes Gaslight Park happens on the first Wednesday of every month.
