Tuesday is National Brain Freeze Day — or at least that's what it should be called when there will be lines out the door at 7-Eleven convenience stores to get a free Slurpee to celebrate the chain's birthday on 7/11.

Customers can get a free small Slurpee at any 7-Eleven location from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. while supplies last. Some stores will also be carrying selfie swag for the new Slurpee chrome dome lids and chrome dome cups. Anyone who gets it is asked to post a selfie on social media with #Slurpfies and tag @7Eleven.

And if you are really a fan of the frozen sugary drink, customers who buy at least seven Slurpees from July 12-18 will get 11 Slurpees for free. You have to download the free 7-Eleven app, buy seven Slurpees during that time period, have the clerk scan the bar code on the app and you'll be awarded 11 Slurpees.

We just think it's nice that 7-Eleven stores have their signature Slurpee Day in the middle of a blistering hot summer. The chain is celebrating its 90th year, founded in 1927.
