DADE CITY — Those looking for a Fourth of July fireworks fix can head to the Pasco County Fairgrounds for the annual Sparklebration celebration Saturday.
Gates open at 3 p.m., with the fireworks being launched at 9:15 p.m., allowing plenty of time to have a backyard barbecues beforehand.
Sparklebration is a festive, patriotic fair featuring traditional hot dog and watermelon eating contests, the annual Babies R Red White and Blue pageant, Tony the Balloon Guy, entertainment and the annual drop-in by Skydive City skydivers.
There's plenty to keep the kids busy leading up to the fireworks — pony rides, face painting, bounce houses and a petting zoo.
Food trucks and vendors will be on hand, primed to please the palate with corn dogs, cotton candy, fried dough, flavored ice and other treats.
