Escher at the Dalí: The Dalí Museum in St. Petersburg follows up its Leonardo da Vinci exhibit with a master illusionist known for his black and white images, M.C. Escher. National Thrift Store Day: In honor of the (unofficial) holiday today, Suncoast Hospice Resale Shoppes locations at Countryside, Clearwater and St. Petersburg will offer 25 percent discounts off purchases. The first 200 visitors at each store get a giveaway.


Music: Rob Thomas of Matchbox Twenty brings his solo performance Friday to Ruth Eckerd Hall with the Plain White T's ($65-$100). Back to School Splash: Two kids get free admission Saturday with one paid adult ($27.95, $25.95 seniors) to Lowry Park Zoo with Billabong splash pad games and school safety and health tips.
