Caramel is as versatile as chocolate and delicious on its own, in a sauce or coffee drink, or smothered on an apple. This is the time of year to appreciate the confection. Our judges found six brands of caramels and would be happy to pinch any of them from the candy bags their children bring home on Halloween night.
