1 Kite festival: The sky will be filled with red, white and blue kites this weekend over Treasure Island beach. The Veterans Day Fall Fly on TI features stunt kite lessons, demonstrations, games, bubbles and candy falling from the sky. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday-Sunday. 2 John Douglas: Mind Hunter: The former FBI profiler and bestselling author of Mind Hunter, John Douglas is a legendary figure in law enforcement, the inspiration for the hit Netflix series and the model for the Scott Glen character in The Silence of the Lambs. He will give a free talk Thursday as part of the USF Frontier Forum, a series by notable public intellectuals. 7:30 p.m. Oval Theater in the Marshall Student Center, 4103 Cedar Circle, Tampa.

3 Shakespeare in the City: This is the last week to catch a free nightly performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The cast of 19 adds some timely flourishes, including five dancers, a ukulele player, a fairy ensemble in rainbow wigs and the beat-box skills of Reuben Pressman, who plays Starveling. Shows are at 7:30 nightly through Sunday in Williams Park, Fourth Street and First Avenue N, St. Petersburg.

4 Tampa Bay Fall RV Show: You’ll find a huge range of new and used travel trailers, motor homes, tent campers and conversion vans, as well as lots of booths featuring parts and accessories, insurance, RV repair and financing.
