1 Straz Live in the Park: A family-friendly mashup of an afternoon picnic, a concert in the park and a block party features Broadway tunes, favorite opera arias and a surprise guest or two. Pack a cooler, chairs and blanket, and there will be food trucks on site at Curtis Hixon Park. Hamilton fans get a treat from Tampa native Jose Rosario Jr., above, an Alonso High grad who performed in the Chicago company of Hamilton. The audience is also encouraged to take part in Hamiltunes, a sing-along program sanctioned by creator Lin-Manuel Miranda. Opera Tampa singers will also perform to celebrate National Opera Week. 2 Tampa Bay Home Show: Get out your honey-do lists. The large west coast Florida home show brings the area’s top home improvement experts, along with more than 600 exhibits with everything related to homes, home improvement projects and landscaping. 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday-Sunday at Tropicana Field, 1 Tropicana Drive, St. Petersburg. 4 Conga Caliente: The celebration of Hispanic arts, culture and food includes a youth area, health village, art displays, beer garden and cigar area.
