The Florida Orchestra and the YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg came together to offer music and visual arts lessons to underserved families through a free music and arts summer camp.
Children had the opportunity to experience a blend of music and arts in three daily lessons: violin, keyboarding and visual arts.
The camp, which ran from June 14 to July 9, was an “example of two powerhouse organizations coming together to do something great for the community — something that would be hard for each of us to do on our own,” according to a news release from the orchestra.
