Trees for Troops distributed at MacDill Air Force Base

MacDill Air Force Base received a special holiday delivery of Christmas trees as part of the Trees for Troops program. The trees where given away to military families from all branches of service stationed at MacDill. Colonel Stephen P. Snelson the Commander of the 6th Air Mobility Wing praised the program saying, “This was a very special early gift for all of their service members and is just really fantastic.” This year marked the 14th anniversary of the program, which brings together FedEx, the Christmas SPIRIT Foundation and tree farmers across America, Last year, Trees for the Troops donated and deliver 17,400 farm grown trees to 70 US military bases and 250 trees delivered them to four international bases.
