Where to shop this weekend: Valentine’s Day gifts, collectible teapots, vintage furniture

Whether your Valentine loves collectibles or jewelry, local shopping has you covered this weekend.

You don’t even have to be a tea drinker to be enamored with teapots. Their shapes make them so anthropomorphic; they can seem sassy, majestic or comforting, like a hug from your grandma. Used or not, they’re highly collectible, particularly when artist-made, such as the ones on display Saturday at the Hot Teapots show at Syd Entel Galleries and Susan Benjamin Glass. The show will include raku pottery and felted wool pieces by Ellen Siberlicht; Noi Volkov’s series inspired by famous artists; and Elaine Hyde’s glass, silver and gemstone series, pictured. Remains on display through March 16. An opening reception is from 6-8 p.m. at 247 Main St., Safety Harbor. sydentelgalleries.com.

Shabby Chic: Vintage Market and Artisan Day

It really is a magical feeling to find a vintage item, especially if it has been lovingly chalk painted. Discover something new to you at the Shabby Chic Vintage Market and Artisan Day, which returns to Safety Harbor on Sunday. More than 150 vendors of unique home decor, upcycled furniture, vintage, antiques, artisanal foods and boutique clothing will be set up for your shopping pleasure. It’s also a gold mine of ideas and inspiration. There will be Dixie Belle paint-sponsored workshops and demos, so you can try your hand at shabby chic-ing something. 10 a.m.-4 p.m. 401 Main St., Safety Harbor.

Hot Wax: Vinyl Record Show

The other day on Facebook, someone was asking for resources for starting a vinyl collection. This would be a great start. The Clearwater Record Shop has a monthly vinyl record show, where dealers are buying, showing and selling thousands of LPs, 45s, 78s and even CDs. 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday. 1610 N Hercules Ave. clearwaterrecordshow.com.

Valentine’s Day Countdown: Sip and Shop

It’s the last weekend before Valentine’s Day. Lucky for you, St. Pete jewelry boutique Rock Shop is having a Wine and Roses shopping event on Saturday night. The owner of the rare gemstone boutique makes all of the jewelry and he has just returned with a cache from the Tucson gem show. They have a variety of styles and price ranges, yet every piece looks expensive. A free rose comes with every purchase, so check that box, too. 5-9 p.m. Saturday. 529 Central Ave., St. Petersburg. rockshopjewelry.com.
