The weather forecast calls for more heavy rain throughout Tampa Bay on Thursday evening, but the chance of rain should decrease overnight.
“We’re in for a lot of rain,” said Spectrum Bay New 9 Chief Meteorologist Mike Clay. He anticipates the heaviest rains will fall through 10 p.m. from Hernando to Pinellas counties.
“It’s not going to rain everywhere, but there’s at least 60 percent coverage,” Clay said.
Some areas may see up to four inches of rain.
The rain will continue into tomorrow, where the forecast calls for 80 percent of thunderstorms and showers. The wet weather is forecast to continue through the weekend.
