Another nice, pleasant day is setting up for spring breakers across Tampa Bay, with abundant sunshine and comfortable temperatures ahead of a cold front that could spoil outdoor plans this weekend.
Temperatures are starting off in the low 60s, but Wednesday's crisp and cool morning has yielded to more sticky conditions as winds from the south are boosting humidity levels, according to the National Weather Service.
Highs on Thursday will reach the low to mid 80s under partly cloudy skies. Lows will drop to the upper 60s.
The nasty 'bomb cyclone' that blasted Colorado on Wednesday is tracking toward the Midwest, but a trailing cold front will move toward the state this weekend, forecasters said. Rain chances will kick up on Saturday, with highs near 80, but dipping to closer to 70 on Sunday as the chance of rain diminishes as the front sinks to the south.
Temperatures will remain a few degrees below the average high of 77 heading into the middle of next week, forecasters said, with the threat of rain lingering.
