Grab your flannel and your Cross Colours, Tampa Bay. We're heading to the 90s this week.

Monday will be the start of the hottest week of the year so far as temperatures reach 90 for the first time in 2019. High pressure over the western Atlantic Ocean and northern Florida remains the dominant factor in the working week's weather, keeping things warm with clear and sunny skies for the next few days.

Monday starts warm, with sunrise temperatures already reaching the low 70s before climbing to the upper 80s in the afternoon, with 90 degrees a likely peak. The sun sets at 8:03 p.m. Monday as temperatures fall only slightly to 86 degrees. Overnight lows should be in the upper 60s and lower 70s.

The pattern of warmth and dryness should hold for the next few days. However, an upper level disturbance is currently hanging out near the Bahamas and is expected to swing west by Thursday, bringing some scattered showers and storms that should clear by the weekend.
