The weather might've gotten a little messy midweek, but conditions are set for a near-perfect end to the week for the Tampa Bay area.
According to the National Weather Service, high pressure stretched over the state and a large-scale east-west flow will help to put the sun back in the Sunshine State this weekend.
Some patchy fog could filter through Friday, but temperatures will rise to near 80 in the afternoon and only drop to 73 in the evening. Saturday and Sunday are expected to be in the lower 80s as any chance for precipitation remains low and winds stay calm.
It'll be a great weekend to head outside, whether you're planning to head over the bay in the Sunshine Skyway 10K Bridge Run or you're polishing pints on patios at the start of Tampa Bay Beer Week. You can even take a quick road trip over to Cape Canaveral early Saturday to watch the 2 a.m. launch of the SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule. The launch will be unmanned, but feature a new "smart" dummy named Ripley as the private space travel company readies to carry human passengers to the international space station and beyond.
