What Marco Rubio and Jeb Bush are up to the week of Aug. 17
Rubio has a two-day swing through Iowa beginning Tuesday with a visit to the State Fair. He'll also attend the Dallas County Annual Steak Fry. Wednesday, he opens his Iowa headquarters in Ankeny then has a town hall in Indianola. On Thursday Rubio will give a speech at the Detroit Economic Club. Then he heads to Ohio for events in Cleveland on Friday. On Saturday he's speak in Columbus at the Americans for Prosperity "Defending the American Dream Summit." He also will attend an event at Grandview Yard and share "his views on the sanctity of human life and other conservative values," according to an announcement.
Bush is in Charleston, S.C., today for a meet and greet with veterans and has a military town hall this evening in Columbia. Tuesday, he attends a national security forum in Rock Hill hosted by Americans for Peace, Prosperity and Security. Wednesday he is in Londonderry, N.H., for an education summit sponsored by American Federation for Children, a school-choice advocacy organization. Bush will have a moderated discussion with Campbell Brown, founder of the news site The Seventy Four. That night, Bush will attend a town hall in Merrimack. Thursday, Bush has a town hall in Keene. Friday, he travels to Columbus, Ohio, to keynote the Americans for Prosperity "Defending the American Dream Summit."
