ST. PETERSBURG — Police were searching Tuesday for a vandal who smashed a game with a sledgehammer after losing several times at a local convenience store.

Officers said the man broke a game involving quarters Sunday at Teresa's Food Store at 2601 30th Ave. N.

After several losses, they said, he walked out to his car and returned. He played once more before taking the hammer out of his waistband, glancing around with a slight smile on his face, and swinging it through the glass.

Police ask anyone with information to call (727) 893-7780 or to text "SPPD" and a tip to Tip-411.
