Spirit of Grace Lutheran Church, which has campuses in Hudson and Trinity, recently partnered with Plato Academy, a new Pasco County charter school.

Spirit of Grace sold its property at 8812 Old County Road 54 to the K-2 school, which has eight established K-8 campuses in Pinellas County.

Jennifer Perez, previously the principal at Plato's St. Petersburg location, leads the new school, a Voluntary Prekindergarten provider offering extracurricular activities, accelerated learning opportunities and Greek language studies.

Spirit of Grace now rents its space from the school. The church continues to host worship at 8:30 and 11:30 a.m. Sundays. The church is also building a new sanctuary on the property. It is scheduled to open next fall, along with a new school building next door.

"We are excited about this new chapter in our church life," said Debra Boland, parish secretary.
