NOTES: South Florida swept Southern Miss last season, so the Golden Eagles have extra incentive. Both teams are coming off losses. Southern Miss is off to its best start under Green. The Golden Eagles lead the conference in scoring margin (plus-14.7) and are second in scoring defense (60.8) and three-point field goal percentage defense (28 percent). South Florida has won six of seven, but several Bulls are injured. Senior Chonsey Asbury's chronic knee problem has caused him pain all week and and Artha Reeves' right knee is swollen and painful. The team was scheduled to practice for only about 45 minutes Friday, with Greenberg saying he was making a conscious effort to get the players some rest. "This is the time of year where you're going to have bumps, bruises and soreness," Greenberg said. "We need to be rested, that's my biggest concern because we do play hard and we do ask a lot of them." _ Compiled by Antonya English
