New Shop Spotlight: Z aa Fashionistas, allow me to introduce you to your favorite new place to shop. It's called Z aa Dress Up Studio and it's at the corner of First Avenue N and Sixth Street in downtown St. Petersburg. The boutique carries women's apparel and accessories, but that does not do justice to the selection of beautiful designs that owner Liza Fleming has masterfully curated. After a corporate career as a lead marketing strategist, the shopaholic was ready to follow her dream to help women dress well. That she calls it a "dress up studio" isn't just to be cute; she will genuinely take the time to select looks that work for you, which she calls "play time." Because her target audience is working women, she offers a selection of smart dresses, skirts and tops that are suitable for work but are still edgy. But she has pieces for every occasion, and has a customer base that ranges from women in their 20s through 70s. There are plenty of playful pieces that you can picture wearing to an indie market or a brewery. Find something unusual and sparkly for your New Year's Eve "lewk," like the outfit pictured. Hours are 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Wednesday-Friday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and noon-5 p.m. Sunday. By appointment Monday-Tuesday. 578 First Ave. N. zaastyle.com . Stock Up: PostHoliday Sales What's the best cure for those postholiday blues? Postholiday sales, of course! Here are two local ones to consider. Florida CraftArt is a great place to stock up on artist-made ornaments and holiday decor. They're offering a 20 percent discount on those items plus holiday-themed gift items through Monday. Make it a goal in 2019 to have all artist-made decorations on your tree. It's no secret that I used to work there and can tell you that the sale is very popular, so don't miss out! They're open from 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday-Saturday, noon-5 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. New Year's Eve. Closed on New Year's Day. 501 Central Ave., St. Petersburg. floridacraftart.org .Museum stores are some of the most fun places to shop. I can easily spend an hour looking at the array of art, books, jewelry and just otherwise cool stuff. So imagine my delight to know that the MFA Store at the Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg is having a major clearance sale through Jan. 1 with discounts of up to 75 percent off. I'm still kicking myself for not scooping up an exquisite handmade bowl they had on sale the last time I went there. Don't let that happen to you.
